CONDITIONS
The international visual arts competition
"The IMAGE of a VIOLIN"
I. Organizers:
1) «Philharmonik» magazine;
II. The place and time of the event:
2.1. Participate in 2016!
About date and a venue of competition it will be reported in addition.
III The conditions of applying, registration fee, general conditions:
3.1. The Competition is open for all comers: for painters, sculptors, ebonists, designers (2D and 3D), architects, programmers etc.
3.2. All visual art works with the image of violin, cello, contrabass are admitted to the Competition (painted, sculptural, interactive, folk craftwork items etc.)
3.3. Works for participation can be provided whether by makers (craftsmen) or by the owners. In case of winning, the award goes to the art works and is bestowed to the participant of competition who provides art work.
3.4. The application and the scanned copy of the registration fee should be sent

3.5. Registration fee for small-sized works (the area of foundation less than 0,3 m2) – 30 euro: small-sized painting, graphic arts, photography, sculpture etc. (measurement - width x length x height = 0,01 m3). One registration fee covers participation for 2 art works. Each additional work – 10 euro.
3.6. Registration fee for space consuming works – 100 euro (the area of foundation more than 0,3 m2).
The area of foundation is projection of extreme points on the floor surface.

3.8. The art works for participation should be delivered: from ________________________________________.
3.9. The art works can be delivered for the competition Organizing committee by postal mail:

3.10. An exhibition of art works will take place after the end of the Competition. The duration of the exhibition is 6 days. The participation in the exhibition is unpaid. Art works will be returned to the owners after the end of the exhibition.
3.11. The art works which are exhibited in competition, can't be returned before the end of competition and an exhibition.
3.12. The organizing committee of competition reserves the right to photograph the art works exhibited in competition and to distribute pictures without any payments to their owners.
3.13. The cases of controversies during the Competition will be settled by the legal authorities of the country – Competition organizer.
Only Russian language will be considered as valid one.

2) «The IMAGE of a VIOLIN - Sculpture, architecture, national crafts» (3D);
3) «The IMAGE of a VIOLIN - New technologies»
V. Participation conditions of the competition " The IMAGE of a VIOLIN ":
5.1. The Competition is open for all comers: for painters, sculptors, ebonists, designers (2D and 3D), architects, programmers etc.
5.2. All visual art works with the image of violin, cello, contrabass are admitted to the Competition (painted, sculptural, interactive, folk craftwork items etc.)
a) Participation with space consuming works must be concurred with steering committee! These works must be preliminary given to the steering committee with the indication of size, weight and photos of these works.
b) If there is a need in special equipment to demonstrate art works, this equipment should be provided by the contestants. It must be concurred with steering committee!
c) Architectural constructions are given to the contest by photos only.
5.3. Year made – not earlier than 2000.
5.4. Works for participation can be provided whether by makers (craftsmen) or by the owners. In case of winning, the award goes to the art works and is bestowed to the participant of competition who provides art work.
5.5. Adherence of intellectual property rights: the contestant responds to the adherence of intellectual property rights single-handedly.
VI. Transportation conditions:
6.1 Expenses on art works insurance during their stay at competition and at an exhibition are assumed by the competition Organizing committee. Insurance of art works and transportation costs to Moscow and back – are assumed by the participant of competition.
6.2 The art works which have arrived on competition, can't be returned before the end of competition and an exhibition.
VII. Jury:
7.1 Prominent violin makers, musicians-virtuosos and artists will be invited to join the Jury.
The Jury list will be announced prior to the Competition.
7.2 The jury has the right: to award not all awards;
The jury's decision cannot be revised.
VIII. Order of carrying out competition:
Competition of art works place in 2 rounds.
ROUND 1
Judges – estimate art works and expose points;
ROUND 2
On the 2nd round passes no more than 6 artworks on each nomination. After discussion of artworks, get out on 3 winners in each nomination.
IX. Awards and prizes:

9.4 State and public organizations, artistic and professional unions, mass media, institutions, firms, private and juridical persons may grant special prizes and awards to participants upon agreement with the Organizing Committee and the Jury.
